A quick note before we go

Selected clips from my editorial filmography

Hello,

On this page I will be adding interesting examples of the scenes I’ve done.
They can be in different moods, tones, durations or even genres.
Occasionally, I might group them together according to some personal criteria.

These are not necessarily my most outstanding works.

But, they might as well be, drama, documentaries, adverts, music videos…
it’s an ever-changing bag of goodies, full of surprises.

Sit back, relax, and play the clips in any order you want, according to your mood and will, at your own pace.

You’re in charge.
Enjoy.

BUS 174

BUS 174

I co-directed with José Padilha and edited this wrenching documentary about a kidnapping that ended up revealing a lot about the whole society.

‘”Bus 174 is so wrenching and absorbing that you can easily lose sight of the sophistication of its techniques. (…) the filmmakers, Felipe Lacerda and José Padilha, have made a deceptively straightforward film that has the force of tragedy and the depth of first-rate investigative journalism.”

CENTRAL STATION

CENTRAL STATION

Winner of the Golden Bear in Berlin, the Golden Globes, the BAFTA and other 33 awards, with 23 other nominations, nominated for Best Foreign Film and Best Actress Oscar.

A classic.

‘”What moved me was the process, the journey, the change in the woman, the subtlety of sequences like the one where she falls for a truck driver who doesn’t fall for her. It’s in such moments that the film has its magic.”
